Two recent additions to Old South Pearl will have even the most seasoned fashionistas squealing with delight. They’re both unique in their own right, but the end result is the same: happy shoppers walking away looking and feeling fabulous!
Gracie’s
Very girly and fun inside, Gracie’s is basically a shopper’s paradise. This small and narrow space is filled with bright-colored clothing and large overstuffed chairs. There are long racks of beautiful duds going from the front of the store all the way to the back, and each item conjures up an image of you looking perfectly put together for your next summer soiree. Gracie’s carries clothing lines such as Splendid, Joie and Trina Turk, but those just barely scratch the surface as they also carry everything else from shoes to jewelry and bags to belts. They also carry a few gift lines such as Voluspa candles and Royal Highnies (loungewear for men), which comes in handy so you don’t feel guilty only buying for yourself! They really do cover all of your shopping bases at Gracie’s.
Also worth mentioning is the customer service. The mother/daughter team who owns Gracie’s (the daughter is the store’s namesake) are very sweet and helpful, and will make you feel like a million bucks in each outfit you try on.
Common Threads
You’ll do a double take when you learn that Common Threads is a consignment store. This small space is a super cute boutique with a very upscale feel, and yes, that’s right: you can stock up on the most extravagant brands for a fraction of the price. Common Threads has opened a Denver location on South Pearl as a follow-up to their wildly successful Boulder location, and we are very happy they’re here!
Everything in Common Threads is on-trend, hip and cute…you won’t find any polyester work suits here. They are very picky in what they’ll consign, so you can score big while going through their racks as they have brands that even the most expensive boutiques would die to carry!
Make sure to go into Common Threads often as their goods fly off the racks and their stunning merchandise is ever-changing.
P.S. Speaking of Boulder, we hear that The Kitchen, the uber-popular Boulder haunt, is opening a Denver location as well. This news is music to our ears as The Kitchen is one of the gems in the amazing Boulder dining scene. The Kitchen will be opening in the former Gumbo’s space on 16th and Wazee.
