Paper or plastic? It's the never-ending debate at the end of every grocery trip. This two-party system stinks. The good news: Times are changing and we are all trying to eliminate using either one when leaving the store. People are recognizing they aren't good for the environment and reusable bags made and manufactured in the USA are a smart solution. The bad news: Our produce doesn't always fare well when the bagger is stuffing everything into those few reusable bags that you brought. Sometimes they emerge with bumps and bruises that weren't there when you carefully chose them in the store. Solution:

Few things in life are paired so well that they perfectly compliment one another, and are thought of as an ideal partnership. Salt and Pepper - a given. Orange juice and champagne - most days. Bacon and eggs - of course (I mean, who doesn't love bacon!). We have a new pair to add to the mix: Duo restaurant and Farmer's dinners. Duo, a fabulously hip restaurant in the Highlands, is hosting their third annual series of farmer's dinners this fall. They are partnering up with selected Colorado organic farms and creating delicious menus centered around the farmers' produce. Cure Organic Farm in Boulder is the upcoming partner for the September dinner. Duo is creating a set three...

Problem: Spring is in the air and your bathing suit is threatening to surface soon. Solution: Luxury Lowrider - a grass roots bicycle enthusiast nested up on a ranch in Golden that specializes in restoration, recycling and rebuilding quality vintage bikes. With items like a 1959 vintage Schwinn Tornado Cruiser and a 1941 Ladies Elgin Deluxe Fat Tire coming out of the shop (aka Tyler's garage), what are you waiting for? Most of his bikes are posted and advertised through Craigslist - just search for "Lux Low" to find the latest refurbished creation...but beware...they do NOT sit around for long. Better idea - Give Tyler a call directly at (303) 832-7942 to make an appointment to see everything he has to offer and get riding...
